Marina Man Fined Over Whale

THE man at the centre of plans to build a giant marina in Rose Bay has been fined $10,000 for buzzing a rare humpback whale off North Head in a borrowed speedboat. Ned O'Neil, a spokesman for his father Denis, who is attempting to gain support for the controversial marina, pleaded guilty in Manly Local Court this week to zig-zagging around and pursuing the whale last July.
