A $200 Million Marina

GR

? A $200 MILLION marina plan for Morisset Park must be assessed by the NSW Government for its climate change liability, Morisset Peninsula Precinct Committee vice-convenor David Lemcke said.

Mr Lemcke, a professional planner, said the Government's new flood plain risk management guidelines say rising sea and lake levels must be considered for new developments.

"The State Government and councils need to consider future liabilities with respect to approving development that is likely to be inundated or affected in future," Mr Lemcke said.

"If people want to sue in 40 years when their houses are falling into the lake or sea, they're going to sue the authorities that approved the developments."
